Australian native plant collection

Contemporary abstract botanical paintings inspired by Australian native plants.

My Native Plant Collection is inspired by the Australian native plants I grow, propagate and work with through regeneration and rewilding projects. These paintings explore the shapes, textures and patterns found in leaves, blossoms, seed pods and the layered structure of native plant communities.

Created using poured watercolour, ink and collage, each work develops through layers of colour, movement and chance. Rather than depicting individual plants in a botanical way, I aim to capture the feeling, character and energy of the Australian bush.

My close connection to native plants continues to shape both my artwork and my environmental work, bringing together a love of nature, conservation and contemporary abstract painting.
