Ironbark series

Abstract paintings inspired by Australian ironbark trees, created with poured watercolour, ink and collage.

The Ironbark Series is an abstract exploration of the movement, pattern and seasonal rhythms of Australian ironbark trees, inspired by the magnificent tree outside my studio window.

Each work is created using poured watercolour, ink and collage, allowing chance and movement to echo the living landscape that inspired it. Layered washes and repeated forms reflect the natural rhythm of canopy, leaves and blossoms.

Grounded in my active work in native plant propagation and bush regeneration, this series connects contemporary abstract art with environmental awareness and the living ecology of the Australian bush.
